Nowadays the "Imperial Porcelain Manufactory" produces about 4,000 types of products in a wide range:
from tea, coffee and dinner sets, genre and animal sculptures, decorative plates to banquet sets of presidential level, gifts to government officials and the heads of foreign states, prizes for major competitions and festivals. They are made of solid and bone china.
Products are decorated in overglaze and underglaze painting, frequently using the rare and precious metals. The manufactory produces replicas of the museum's collection of XVIII-XX centuries, company tableware with a logo or monogram of the customer for special orders.
For decades the set «Cobalt net» (S. E. Yakovleva, A. A. Yatskevich), hallmark of the manufactory, is in the great demand. It was awarded a gold medal at the World Exhibition in Brussels.
Products labeled «ЛФЗ» (introduced in 1936) are exported to highly developed countries all over the world: USA, Germany, France, England, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Japan and others.
The «Naslediye» Foundation («Heritage» Foundation) was founded at the initiative of Chairwoman of the Board of Directors JSC ”Imperial Porcelain Manufactory” G.V. Tsvetkova in April 2006. The activities of this Division are focused on the formation and responsible storage of the collection of modern porcelain, the implementation of exhibition activity and editorial and publishing process. But most importantly it is fascinating process of working and communication with the objects and its creators. The curators develop the idea of every object with the assistance and cooperation of the artistic team and find out all details of the history of its creation.
In 2006 three thousands articles, dated 1980 – 2006, were transferred to the «Naslediye» Foundation from a storage room of the art laboratory. Since 2007, the collection is regularly updated with new authorial samples for replicable models, unique works of superb artistry, special orders’ samples.
The Junior Arts Council, the domestic deliberative authority, makes a decision to include a work in the Foundation. The Council is comprised the head artist, leading artists and sculptors and representatives of The «Naslediye» Foundation. The Greater Arts Council takes place once a year with the participation of leading art historians of Saint-Petersburg, Moscow and other cities. The best experts of the State Hermitage Museum, the State Russian Museum, the Museum-Preserve «Peterhof», the State Museum-Preserve "Tsarskoye Selo" and the State Museum of Ceramics estimate works of the artists of the IPM during this period. The artistic value and the presence of similar works of the artists were always taken into account in reaching a decision as well as historical aspect. For example in the «Naslediye» Foundation «Peterhofskii» and «Tsarskoselsii» sets of Nelli Petrova and unique example of Galina Shulyak’s set «Classic of Saint-Petersburg» are stored, which were served during the Gala dinners, dedicated to 300-anniversary of Saint-Petersburg. A sample of set, given to Vladimir Putin in honor of the inauguration by the Governor of Saint-Petersburg, and other works participating in important events of the city and Russian Federation are included in the «Naslediye» collection. The collection is based on unique works of modern artists of porcelain but we may found works of 1950-1980, which were discovered in storage room of the factory.
The collection of the IPM is corporate museum with representative function that formed the image of our company. As the majority of such museums, it is available for a restricted group of people. Therefore, the Foundation is actively working on a popularization of the collection and its introduction to cultural context.
The works are exhibited in Gallery of modern art of porcelain on the territory of the factory and beyond – in the State Hermitage Museum, the State Museum-Preserve "Tsarskoye Selo", in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and others major exhibition venues. Foundation also aims at cataloging and publication, as a collection is much more voluminous than can be represented in the exhibitions.
The works from the «Naslediye» Foundation participate regularly in international cultural events. For example, vases of Tatiana Afanasieva, decorative works of Sergey Sokolov and Lubov Tsvetkova were exhibited in Paris, in «The Golden Age of the Ballets Russes» organized by Sotheby's for the Centenary of the Ballets Russe in September 2008. In June 2011 the works of Tatiana Afanasieva, Inna Olevskaya, Nelya Petrova were represented Russian Federation in the exhibition, organized for the Year of Russian language and culture in Italy.
